A Little bit of Utopia History
Ralph Angen and Bette Angen started the motorcoach company - Utopia Tours - in 1971 with one bus and a handful of tours.
In 1981 their son Steve, and his wife Elaine, purchased the company. They now do many pre-planned motorcoach tours a year, as well as one-day tours and casino tours. Plus operate charters for school groups, churches, senior clubs, bank groups, Red Hatters, and more.
Utopia Tours has been run from the same home location near Garfield since the start. It also has third generation family members working at Utopia.
Over the years Utopia Tours has grown into a full-service travel company with tour and travel offices throughout Minnesota. Our many years of experience and know-how goes into each tour resulting in well-planned, entertaining tours with quality attractions and hotels. We have a wonderful group of professional, knowledgeable staff to help with your reservations, and great drivers and tour directors while you are on tour.
