Fri., Aug. 8: Our exciting adventure begins as we look forward to the spectacular scenery and wonderful attractions of both Alaska and the Canadian Rockies. After an enjoyable flight to Anchorage, AK, we will be transferred to our hotel. We will do some sightseeing around Anchorage, then this evening we will enjoy an included get-acquainted meal at the Sour Dough Mining, Co. We will spend the night in Anchorage, AK.
Sat., Aug. 9: From Anchorage we travel through Whittier to Seward, AK, located off the Gulf of Alaska. While here you may wish to go fishing or enjoy a Kenai Fjords Tour (not included in price of tour). Our overnight is here in Seward, AK.
Sun., Aug. 10: Our route takes us north through Anchorage and on up to Talkeetna, AK. Enjoy the panoramic view of the Alaska Range during our stay.
Mon., Aug. 11: Our first stop today is in Denali National Park where we will take a wildlife tour will take us deep into the Park for a chance at viewing wildlife and to enjoy an included box lunch. Later, we depart the Denali area and travel, with a coffee stop in Nenana, to Fairbanks, AK, for two nights. Fairbanks is Alaskas second largest city.
Tues., Aug. 12: This morning we learn more Alaska and its history at the University of Alaska Museum. Later, we join Captain Binkley of the Riverboat Discovery for a narrated cruise along the Tanana and Chena Rivers. This evening enjoy an included Salmon Bake at Pioneer Park - delicious! Enjoy your second night in Fairbanks.
Wed., Aug. 13: This morning we will stop at the North Pole at the Santa Claus House for some early Christmas shopping, and then travel along the Alaska Mountain Range. A coffee stop will be made at Rikas Roadhouse. Along the way we will also stop at Delta Junction to see the sign marking the end of the Alaska Highway. Then take the Alaska Highway to Tok, AK. From Tok we make our way along the "Top of the World Highway" to Dawson City, YK.
Thurs., Aug. 14: From Dawson City we continue on to Whitehorse, YK. You will be able to try your luck as we pan for gold at Claim 33. Tonight you will be treated to the "Frantic Follies," a turn of the century vaudeville revue which depicts the entertainment seen by the pioneers of the Great Klondike Gold Rush of 1898. Whitehorse is our overnight stay.
Fri., Aug. 15: Today we will drive along beautiful scenery, including Emerald Lake and Carcross Desert, while following the White Pass Trail to Skagway, AK. Skagway is the oldest city in Alaska, which retains its 1890s look and atmosphere. You will have free time to explore this gold rush town.
Sat., Aug. 16: This morning we board the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry for a southbound cruise along the Inside Passage from Skagway to Juneau, AK. A local tour guide will join us for sightseeing including the Mendenhall Glacier, the Governors Palace, and more, here in Juneau. We will spend the night here in Juneau.
Sun. & Mon., Aug. 17-18: Our journey along the Inside Passage continues this afternoon from Juneau, to Sitka, and ending in Prince Rupert, BC. A park ranger will be on board to narrate and point out bald eagles, whales, and more. A cafeteria is on board. Enjoy this scenic and relaxing ride as we travel. Cabins are included for two nights. Other ports are Ketchikan, Wrangell, & Petersburg.
Tues., Aug. 19: We arrive in Prince Rupert, BC this afternoon, and will stay here for the night.
Wed., Aug. 20: We reboard our motorcoach enjoying the beautiful British Columbia scenery following the Yellowhead Highway to Prince George, BC, for the night.
Thurs., Aug. 21: From Prince George, BC, we cut down through Quesnel, Williams Lake, and Kamloops, BC, and on to Three Valley Gap in the splendor of the Monashee Mountains. On our way we drive by Shuswap Lake - a popular resort area. Three Valley Gap is in Eagle Pass and tonight a guide will narrate the history of the area, plus take you through the beautiful Bill Gardens. Then on to the Ghost Town Tour, and conclude our day with an included delicious dinner.
Fri., Aug. 22: Today we cross from British Columbia into Alberta today, inviting us into the world of the Canadian Rockies as we visit the Lake Louise area and on down to Banff. There will be time to shop and sightsee here before continuing our way to Medicine Hat, AB, for the night.
Sat., Aug. 23: From Medicine Hat, AB, we cross through Saskatchewan, with a stop in Moose Jaw. Our overnight is in Estevan, ND.
Sun., Aug. 24: Homeward bound with many memories of our Alaska Southbound tour to take back with us. Comfort and meal stops will be made along the way. Thank you for traveling with Utopia Tours.

(Travel companions are also covered) Tour cost is non-refundable 7 business days prior to departure. There are no refunds on the air or cruise portion of the tour after 61 days prior to departure. No refund to no shows and for non-covered cancellations. If client cancels reservation, any refund processed by credit card will be less a 3% processing fee.
