Thurs., Sept. 4: Join Utopia Tours on this adventure tour to the Canadian Rockies. You will discover the grandeur of mountain peaks, crystal clear lakes, golden valleys, as well as the welcoming hospitality of our neighbors to the north. For our first overnight we travel to Estevan, SK.
Fri., Sept. 5: As we continue our journey this morning we get acquainted with our traveling companions. Making the usual stops for comfort and meals, we observe the beautiful farm and oil country through our motorcoach windows. Our destination is Medicine Hat, AB.
Sat., Sept. 6: Today we anxiously await seeing the Canadian Rockies as they appear on the horizon. A stop will be made in Calgary, AB, where we will visit the Calgary Tower, a 626-foot tower with a spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains. We will then continue on to Banff, AB, for a two-night stay. Banff is located near the Alberta and British Columbia border. In Banff we will go to the Banff Gondola on Sulphur Mountain. You may choose to take a lift ride (optional) to the top for a beautiful view of Banff and Bow Valley.
Sun., Sept. 7: Today we will head north to Lake Louise, AB. You will see a number of glaciers, including Victoria Glacier as it reflects off of Lake Louise. A visit to the beautiful Chateau Lake Louise Resort will give you a chance to delight in the surroundings. Continuing on we stop at Peyto Lake, a picturesque emerald green lake. Following along the Columbia Icefield Parkway we make a stop at the Athabasca Glacier for a sno-coach ride on the Glacier, taking in the glaciers magnificence. Later, we will return to Banff. The evening is free to enjoy dinner at one of the fine restaurants, and to check out the many shops.
Mon., Sept. 8: Departing Alberta we travel through British Columbia, making a coffee stop at Radium Hot Springs where you may like to take a dip in the warm water of the pool. This is the largest hot spring pool in Canada, and is set in amongst the rock cliffs. As we continue our travels today you will enjoy some outstanding scenery, following 95N to 93N back into the United States to the beautiful state of Montana. We arrive at tonight's lodging in Whitefish, MT, the center of mountain vacationland.
Tues., Sept. 9: An exciting day is in store today as we motorcoach to Lake McDonald to board a tourmobile on the "Going to the Sun Road" through Glacier National Park over Logans Pass and crossing the Continental Divide. We arrive at St. Mary, MT, at noon to enjoy lunch on your own with time to browse in the gift shop. From here we reboard our motorcoach and make our way to Lewistown, MT.
Wed., Sept. 10: Our route takes us from Montana into North Dakota, taking I-94 to Bismarck, ND, where we will check into our lodging for the night and enjoy an included meal.
Thurs., Sept. 11: Continuing homeward bound we reminisce with our new friends about the awesome natural wonders that we have seen and the memorable experiences we have had. Comfort and meal stops will be made along the way before arriving home this afternoon. Thank you for traveling with Utopia Tours.
