Mon., May 5: We depart today on a tour familiarizing ourselves with the "Cape Cod of the Midwest" - Door County. Our route takes us through central Wisconsin to Augusta, WI, where we will enjoy an Amish Tour and stop at the Wood Shed for shopping. Then it is on to Green Bay, WI, where we will stay for the night. Green Bay is successful as a paper- and cheese-producing and shipping center, plus is home to the oldest professional football team, the Green Bay Packers.

Tues., May 6: This morning we travel up to Sturgeon Bay, WI, which is the beginning of Door County. We familiarize ourselves with Door County, which has over 250 miles of shoreline and is home to orchards, artist colonies, and many interesting sites and attractions. A fun day is in store for us today as our guide joins us for a day of sight-seeing, including stops at a winery, and the Bjorklunden Chapel. Also enjoy a stop at a cheese shop and a delicious included lunch at Al Johnsons Swedish Restaurant in Sister Bay. Al Johnsons restaurant is a sod-roofed Swedish Restaurant built into the earth, that serves wonderful food. Goats and other animals are able to graze on its sod roof. Our lodging will be in Sturgeon Bay, WI, for two nights. Relax during our free evening in Sturgeon Bay.

Wed., May 7: This morning we will visit the Door County Maritime Museum to learn the maritime history of the area, and why the canal linking Lake Michigan to Green Bay is so important. Then enjoy some time in Ephraim and Fish Creek for lunch and shopping. We will then go to the tip of Door County to board a ferry out to Washington Island. Enjoy time on the Island before returning later by ferry to the mainland. Tonight is a treat as we take in Door Countys traditional Fish Boil. At the Fish Boil you are able to see how they boil fish the old-fashioned way, with all the fixings on the side. We then return to Sturgeon Bay, WI.

Thurs., May 8: After a fun, laid back tour to Door County we make our way home today, arriving home early evening. Thank you for traveling with Utopia Tours.
