Wed., Oct. 15: We will travel to Duluth, do some sight-seeing and have lunch in the Canal Park area. Then on to Thunder Bay, Ontario, where we will spend the night, stopping at points of interest along the North Shore.
Thurs., Oct. 16: We will drive along the north shore of Lake Superior today, stopping at scenic points. After arriving in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, we will see the Soo Locks and observe ships being raised and lowered to bypass St. Mary's Rapids, then on to our motel for the evening.
Fri., Oct. 17: This morning we will drive to the Bavarian City of Frankenmuth where we will have lunch at the Zehnders and visit the well known Bronner's Christmas Shop. This shop contains America's largest year-around display of holiday decorations. Then go to Flint, MI, for the night.
Sat., Oct. 18: Travel from Flint to Niagara Falls today. Upon arrival in Niagara Falls, Ontario, we will board the "Maid of the Mist" boat ride to the base of the Majestic Falls, and enjoy strolling along the Parkway. We will then take a scenic drive along the Parkway to view the Floral Clock, Niagara Canyon and Whirlpool Basin. Our lodging will be in Niagara Falls, ON. Those that wish will be able to view the Falls tonight from the Skylon Tower.
Sun., Oct. 19: Our route today will be a beautiful drive through the Adirondacks and Catskill Mountains to New York City. We will arrive at our motel mid-afternoon for a two-night stay. This evening you have the option of attending a Broadway Play (t.b.a.-cost not included in this tour).
Mon., Oct. 20: While on Manhattan Island this morning we will go out to Battery Park, ferry out to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island to visit the Immigration Museum to learn of our ancestors early days in the New World. Plus go to the Empire State Building. (Optional ride to the top for a view of the City - not included in price of tour). We will then return to our hotel for the evening.
Tues., Oct. 21: This morning we take a city bus tour of New York City, see such places as Fifth Avenue, the Bowary, Ground Zero, Chinatown, Wall Street, and Rockefeller Center. Our lunch will be at South Street Seaport. This afternoon we will head out of New York City to the Washington, DC, area for three nights.
Wed., Oct. 22: We begin sight-seeing in Washington, DC. Visit Arlington Cemetery where President and Mrs. Kennedy are buried and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is located. We will also visit a Smithsonian Museum and the World War II Memorial which was dedicated May 2004. Plus we will tour our nations Capital Building.
Thurs., Oct. 23: This morning we will tour the White House (upon confirmation), then visit the Washington National Cathedral and Embassy Row. We then continue sightseeing in DC, including the Jefferson Monument; Lincoln, Korean, and Vietnam Memorials; FDR Memorial; Fords Theatre; Smithsonian Museums; Holocaust Museum; and more. Tonight we will tour some of these historic sights lit up at night, and do a meal (on your own), at Union Station.
Fri., Oct. 24: As we leave our capitol city we make our way to Mt. Vernon - the estate of George and Martha Washington, which has been restored to its appearance in the last years of his life. Then depart for Gettysburg, PA. A guide will join us for a tour of Gettysburg National Military Park. It was here that the most important battle of the Civil War was fought on July 1, 2, and 3, 1863. Lodging is here in Gettysburg, PA.
Sat., Oct. 25: Well travel to Pittsburgh, PA, then through Ohio to Indiana. A delicious meal is included at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, IN. Our lodging is nearby.
Sun., Oct. 26: Continuing on today to Chicago, IL. Well tour around Chicago and spend some time at Navy Pier. Then go to Madison, WI, for the night.
Mon., Oct. 27: After leaving Madison, WI, we will continue on to Minnesota, arriving home mid-afternoon after a great fall East Coast Tour. Thank you for traveling with Utopia Tours.

~PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF locations follow the route of the tour to maintain a
flowing schedule. On tours 6 days or longer, shuttling may be available from
various locations, with minimum number of passengers. Some shuttles may require
an overnight stay. Fees may apply for shuttle service /hotel accommodations.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: Receive a 100% refund when canceling, for any reason, up to final payment due date. After final payment due date (listed on individual brochure) and up to 7 business days prior to departure receive 75%, less non-recoverable fees; this is for medical reasons only, need note from doctor. (Travel companions are also covered) Tour cost is non-refundable 7 business days prior to departure. There are no refunds on the air or cruise portion of the tour after 61 days prior to departure. No refund to no shows and for non-covered cancellations. If client cancels reservation, any refund processed by credit card will be less a 3% processing fee. Call us for information on Optional Insurance with Travelex. The purchase of optional trip cancellation or interruption insurance is highly recommended. Optional insurance can be purchased up to 72 hours prior to departure. Certain deadlines apply for waiving pre-existing medical exclusion. Optional Insurance premium is non-refundable.
