Thurs., May 1: A short drive takes us to Pella, IA, where we look forward to a full schedule of Tulip Festival activities. We will enjoy the beautiful display of tulips while we go on a guided tour of this Dutch community. Also, we will visit the Historical Village Museum. Here you will see the boyhood home of Wyatt Earp, a log cabin, pottery shop, and more. You will also see the Klokkenspel, a 147 bell Carillon where mechanical figures perform to music. Later, we will have reserved seats at the Volks Parade where we will view street scrubbing and see many colorful bands and unique floats. There will also be time to shop, browse, and have lunch on your own. We will spend the evening near the Amana Colonies of Iowa.

Fri., May 2: After a short drive to the Main Amana Colony we are off on a guided tour of this area, which is made up of seven colonies, to learn how the settlers farmed together and shared in the harvest.
