Tues., March 25: We welcome in spring time as we head out east to Lancaster, PA, and the Amish area, Gettysburg, D.C., Colonial Williamsburg and much more. We will make our necessary meal stops on our way to the Chicago, IL, area for the night.

Wed., March 26: We continue eastward today getting acquainted with our fellow travellers and enjoying the countryside. We will drive through Indiana and Ohio and spend the night at Monroeville, PA.

Thurs., March 27: This morning we will continue driving through scenic Pennsylvania Dutch country to Lancaster, PA, where we will enjoy an Amish-style included dinner, plus tour the Amish area and countryside and spend some time browsing in their fine shops of handmade crafts and other items. Well then go on to Gettysburg, PA, for the night.

Fri., March 28: A local Gettysburg guide will join us this morning for a tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield. It was on July 1, 2, & 3, 1863, that the bloodiest and decisive battle of the Civil War was fought resulting in 50,000 casualties. Later well go on in to Washington, D.C. and begin sight-seeing here visiting the Capitol, plus stop at the famous memorials including the Lincoln, Vietnam and Korean Memorials, and other sightseeing as time allows . We will spend three nights here in D.C.

Sat., March 29: More sightseeing today at the Air & Space Museum, the Holocaust Museum, FDR Memorial, Embassy Row, and the Washington Cathedral. We will go to Union Station for an evening meal, on own, and then see the famous Washington Landmarks lit up at night.

Sun., March 30: We will continue our sight-seeing here visiting the Arlington National Cemetery where we will see the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Plus visit the Jefferson Memorial, the World War II Memorial, and the Iwo Jima Memorial, etc.

Mon., March 31: As we leave our capitol city we make our way to Mt. Vernon - the estate of George and Martha Washington, which has been restored to its appearance in the last years of his life. We will go on to Williamsburg, VA. We will spend the afternoon at Colonial Williamsburg where you will walk down historic Duke of Glouchester St., past government buildings, shops, taverns, and colonial homes. The old customs of the 18th century America are present as are the traditions, clothes, handicrafts and food of colonial days. We will spend the night here in Williamsburg, VA.

Tues., April 1: This morning we will take a beautiful drive to Jamestown, the first permanent English settlement. Then on to Charlottesville. We will enjoy an included lunch at historic Michie Tavern before continuing to Thomas Jeffersons home, known as Monticello. We will tour his estate plus enjoy the view of the rolling Virginia countryside. We continue on to Covington, VA, enjoying breathtaking views of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains.

Wed., April 2: Today we will drive through the Bluegrass state of Kentucky to Indianapolis, IN, with a stop at the Indianapolis Speedway.

Thurs., April 3: Today our destination is Cedar Rapids, IA. We will enjoy an included farewell meal this evening at the Ox Yoke Inn in the Main Amana Colony.

Fri., April 4: We will return home today with many memories of our Spring East Coast Tour, making the necessary meal stops along the way. Thank you for traveling with Utopia Tours.

~PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF locations follow the route of the tour to maintain a flowing schedule. On tours 6 days or longer, shuttling may be available from various locations, with minimum number of passengers. Some shuttles may require an overnight stay. Fees may apply for shuttle service /hotel accommodations.
 

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: Receive a 100% refund when canceling, for any reason, up to final payment due date. After final payment due date (listed on individual brochure) and up to 7 business days prior to departure receive 75%, less non-recoverable fees; this is for medical reasons only, need note from doctor. (Travel companions are also covered) Tour cost is non-refundable 7 business days prior to departure. There are no refunds on the air or cruise portion of the tour after 61 days prior to departure. No refund to no shows and for non-covered cancellations. If client cancels reservation, any refund processed by credit card will be less a 3% processing fee. Call us for information on Optional Insurance with Travelex. The purchase of optional trip cancellation or interruption insurance is highly recommended. Optional insurance can be purchased up to 72 hours prior to departure. Certain deadlines apply for waiving pre-existing medical exclusion. Optional Insurance premium is non-refundable.
