Wed., Jan. 23: This morning we depart on a great southwestern tour seeing many interesting sights and beautiful scenery along the way through Arizona, New Mexico, California, Nevada and Utah. We will enjoy getting to know everyone on our way to Grand Island, NE.
Thurs., Jan. 24: From Grand Island, NE, we make our way through Denver and Colorado Springs to Pueblo, CO.
Fri., Jan. 25: Our route takes us into New Mexico today. We will step back in time as we explore Albuquerque, NM, with time at Old Town. Our destination is Gallup, NM, near the Arizona and New Mexico border.
Sat., Jan. 26: We enter Arizona this morning, traveling through Flagstaff on our way to Grand Canyon, AZ. You will be amazed as we tour the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon is as much as 18 miles wide and about a mile deep, and covers more than 1 million acres. The included IMAX presentation will really help us grasp the full scale of this natural wonder. Grand Canyon, AZ, is where we will stay tonight.
Sun., Jan. 27: Traveling through Flagstaff, we follow Oak Creek Canyon, the second most popular place to visit in Arizona after the Grand Canyon. We stop in Sedona, AZ, which is known for its red rock formations. Awesome scenery and landscapes continue during our short journey from Sedona to the resort area of Scottsdale and Phoenix, AZ, area, known as the Valley of the Sun. Our hotel, for the next four nights, is close to Old Scottsdale. This evening we will have an included dinner.
Mon.-Tues., Jan. 28-29: Relax at the hotel, visit the area attractions, enjoy a trolley ride, visit Fashion Square Mall, or call up your winter friends, as we enjoy two free days in Scottsdale. Your tour director will have options available for you to do each day.
Wed., Jan. 30: We have a fun day ahead of us as we travel the Apache Trail to the Tortilla Flats, which are surrounded by the Superstition Mountains. Next, we will travel to Canyon Lake for a relaxing Dolly Steamboat cruise on one of Arizonas desert lakes, seeing desert plant life and beautiful views of the canyons. Later this evening enjoy the Barleen Family Opry Dinner Show.
Thurs., Jan. 31: Today we cross mountains and deserts on our way to San Diego, CA, for a two-night stay. We start here with a tour of San Diego, seeing many interesting and historic sights including Old Town and more. The afternoon is free to enjoy on your own.
Fri., Feb. 1: A special treat is in store for you this morning as we enjoy an included breakfast buffet at Hotel del Coronado. Then it is on to the San Diego Zoo which houses more than 4,000 animals in beautiful natural surroundings. Some of the rarest wildlife in the world can be seen here. The afternoon is free to spend some time at SeaWorld. At SeaWorld you can "Come. See. Believe." as Shamu, and the other animals from below the surface and above the waves entertain and amaze you. This evening we go to Seaport Village. This 14-acre waterfront area includes shops, restaurants and entertainment on its meandering cobblestone pathways.
Sat., Feb. 2: This morning enjoy a cruise out into the San Diego Harbor viewing the San Diego skyline, U.S. Navy ships, pleasure boats, and more. Later, we follow the Pacific coastline to Buena Park, CA, for a three-night stay.
Sun., Feb. 3: This morning we attend church at the Crystal Cathedral, enjoying the service in its beautiful setting. You have the option (cost not included in tour) to visit Disneyland or Disneys California Adventure today.
Mon., Feb. 4: In Long Beach, CA, we have an included delicious breakfast on board the Queen Mary, whose past includes war service from 1940-46 and passenger service from 1947-67. Then, a short distance away, we board a cruise express for Santa Catalina Island, spending a majority of the day here. You can enjoy a tour, discover the unique shops, and enjoy the California sunshine.
Tues., Feb. 5: As we leave this morning we will spend some time in Hollywood, sightseeing and visiting Manns Chinese Theatre and more in the area. Then, its Las Vegas here we come! We arrive in Nevada today with lodging in Las Vegas, NV, for two nights. Get acquainted with the area as we drive you through town. While here you can visit the many unique casino hotels and maybe even try your luck a little.
Wed., Feb. 6: A full day in Vegas today. You may opt to enjoy one of the many shows Vegas is famous for, take a tour out to the Hoover Dam, or visit Laughlin ( shows, Hoover Dam, and Laughlin trips are not included in cost of tour).
Thurs., Feb. 7: Making our way closer to home we head for Salt Lake City, UT. Salt Lake City was founded in 1847 by Mormon pioneers in search of religious freedom. While here, we will visit Temple Square and then go out to Great Salt Lake.
Fri., Feb. 8: We continue through the Rocky Mountains to Rawlins, WY, where we will stay for the night.
Sat., Feb. 9: We follow I-80 through Cheyenne, WY, to Grand Island, NE, our home for the last night of our tour. Tonight we get together for an included meal.
Sun., Feb. 10: We sit back and relax as we journey home after an enjoyable and scenic tour seeing the Best of the Southwest. Thank you for traveling with Utopia Tours.

~PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF locations follow the route of the tour to maintain a
flowing schedule. On tours 6 days or longer, shuttling may be available from
various locations, with minimum number of passengers. Some shuttles may require
an overnight stay. Fees may apply for shuttle service /hotel accommodations.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: Receive a 100% refund when canceling, for any reason, up to final payment due date. After final payment due date (listed on individual brochure) and up to 7 business days prior to departure receive 75%, less non-recoverable fees; this is for medical reasons only, need note from doctor. (Travel companions are also covered) Tour cost is non-refundable 7 business days prior to departure. There are no refunds on the air or cruise portion of the tour after 61 days prior to departure. No refund to no shows and for non-covered cancellations. If client cancels reservation, any refund processed by credit card will be less a 3% processing fee. Call us for information on Optional Insurance with Travelex. The purchase of optional trip cancellation or interruption insurance is highly recommended.
