This sunny and funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. Lunch is on your own at Patrick’s French Café, located in Bachman’s. The afternoon will be spent at the Southdale Shopping Center before departing Minneapolis.

“DIXIE SWIM CLUB” at the Old Log Theatre / Excelsior, MN

This touching comedy centers around five Southern women who became friends on their college swim team. The group sets aside a long weekend every August to recharge their relationships. Free from husbands, kids and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives. They play begins 22 years after they graduate from college, and focuses on four weekends over a period of 33 years. As their lives unfold and the years pass, these women increasingly rely on one another, through advice and raucous repartee, to get through the challenges that life flings at them. It’s really a study in friendship and how it grows and changes through the years. Lunch is included at the theatre prior to the 1:30 pm show. A DAY IN DULUTH
Tues., June 9 • $120 per person
Join us as we head north to Duluth! Upon arrival we will go to Canal Park where you can explore the area, watch the vessels go through the port, view the aerial lift bridge be raised and lowered, and visit the Canal Park Museum. Lunch is included at the famous Grandma’s Restaurant. Then a local guide will join us for a sightseeing tour of Duluth, with a stop at Enger Tower for a beautiful view of Duluth and the harbor. After the tour we’ll go to Glensheen Mansion, a historic estate on the shores of Lake Superior. Then return home, with a coffee stop along the way.

A DAY IN ST PAUL - (Capitol & James J Hill House)

Set off for a fun day in the cities! We’ll start at the MN State Capitol Building, which was built in 1905 and has recently undergone renovations. A guide will take us on a tour of the Capitol, seeing the marble dome, decorative art & murals, the Chambers, plus learn more of its history, architecture and more. There will be free time to explore on your own here. Lunch is included after the tour (place tba). Next is a guided tour of the James J Hill House, located on the eastern end of Summit Ave, overlooking the Mississippi River. This impressive house was built by railroad magnate James J Hill and was completed in 1891. A stop will be made on the way home.

The Duttons are a family of Three generations of musical performers committed to family appropriate, quality entertainment. They perform bluegrass to classical music and everything in between. Their show features a variety of instruments, including violin, guitar, bass, viola, banjo, mandolin, keyboard, harmonica, and drums, among others. The Duttons have garnered awards and recognition in national fiddling contests, classical violin competitions, and as studio musicians. Lunch is on your own at Crossroads Center or Olive Garden prior to the show.

This musical theatre classic features songs like “(Ya Got) Trouble,” “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “The Wells Fargo Wagon,” “Till There Was You,” “Gary, Indiana” and more! Meredith Willson’s six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation. The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. Lunch is included prior to the 1:00 pm show.

ST CLOUD / WHITNEY CENTER located on Northway Drive (load on the west side of the building. Please park away from the entrance so patrons of the Senior Center can park closer during the day)
ST JOSEPH / PARK N RIDE located on Minnesota Street West, about 1/2 mi from I-94.
